Swedish studio Gaming Corps signs deal with Finland’s Veikkaus

Swedish studio Gaming Corps signs deal with Finland’s Veikkaus

Swedish game developer Gaming Corps has signed a content partnership with Veikkaus, Finland’s state-owned gambling operator. The deal was announced on 26 October 2026, preparing both companies for Finland’s shift to a licensed, competitive gambling market in summer 2027.

What’s new

Gaming Corps was founded in Sweden and is headquartered in Enköping. The company is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm’s First North Growth Market. Under the Veikkaus deal, the studio’s slots catalogue will start rolling out to the Finnish operator, led by its best-known brand, the 3 Pigs franchise, which Gaming Corps describes as its most recognisable intellectual property.

The partnership has room to grow. The parties have left scope to later include the studio’s wider portfolio of table, mine, plinko and multiplier games, alongside proprietary products Smash4Cash, A-MAZE-CADES and X-MY-WAY. The context is that Finland is moving to a licence-based system on 1 July 2027, ending Veikkaus’ current exclusivity across online casino and betting. Players curious about this type of online slot can already find comparable concepts at Swedish-licensed sites.

What it means for you as a player

The deal primarily concerns Finnish players and has no direct effect on the selection at Swedish-licensed casinos. But Gaming Corps is already an established supplier in Sweden. The studio received certifications in 2023 to distribute its games in Sweden, Estonia, Greece and Latvia, and launched its first online slot, Book of Pirates, back in 2020 together with Swedish operator ATG. More recently, Gaming Corps expanded its Videoslots partnership into the UK and Ontario, building on its existing relationship in Sweden. That means players already visiting Swedish-licensed casinos may have come across the studio’s titles before, and the Veikkaus deal looks more like a sign of continued international growth from a familiar supplier.

The bigger picture

For Gaming Corps, the deal fits a clear strategy. The company is building its segment focused on state-owned and lottery operators as a strategic priority, and the Veikkaus agreement reinforces that positioning. It also reflects a wider Nordic pattern: as Finland moves toward a competitive market similar to Sweden’s, established Nordic suppliers with experience of Spelinspektionen’s rulebook are well placed to follow. For Swedish players the effect is indirect, but it shows a homegrown studio continuing to strengthen its position both domestically and in neighbouring markets.
