Unibet at a glance

The Kindred group, previously called Unibet Group, was founded in 1997 by Anders Ström. We have not been able to confirm a separate launch year for the brand itself, so the figure in the table refers to the group.

Is Unibet legitimate?

Yes. Unibet holds a valid Swedish licence for both casino and betting until autumn 2030 and is therefore covered by every requirement in Spellagen (the Gambling Act). According to trade media, Kaprifol Services Ltd was among the operators that Spelinspektionen (the Swedish Gambling Authority) was monitoring especially closely in spring 2026. That does not mean any wrongdoing has been established, but it is a good reminder that even big names are scrutinised.

The licence is new, so older reviews naming a different licence holder or licence number are out of date. Feel free to check for yourself in Spelinspektionen’s register of licences – search for Kaprifol Services Limited.

Getting started after the licence change

1. Register a new account with BankID – you cannot log in to the old account.
2. Set deposit limits per day, week and month.
3. Choose whether you want a welcome offer for casino, sports betting or poker.
4. Make your first deposit and keep the confirmation.

If you are a former customer, check the bonus terms to see whether you are entitled to the welcome offer on the new account. If you are unsure, ask customer service before depositing, since the bonus can only be given on the first occasion you play.

Welcome bonus and terms at Unibet

Unibet lets you choose between two casino offers. One is a small free spins package with a very low wagering requirement, the other a classic deposit bonus. You can only take one of them, and if you choose casino you cannot also take the welcome offer for sports betting or poker.

The free spins option gives 50 spins at 2 kr each on a selected slot when you deposit 100 kr, a value of 100 kr. The wagering requirement is 1 time, which is unusually low. The bonus page gives different versions of which game the spins apply to, so check the game in the promotion terms before you deposit.

The deposit bonus doubles your deposit up to 1,000 kr, with a minimum deposit of 200 kr and a 30x wagering requirement. The terms do not say clearly whether the requirement is calculated on the bonus or on deposit plus bonus, and that makes a big difference.

Worked example

You deposit 500 kr and receive 500 kr in bonus. If the requirement applies only to the bonus, you need to wager 500 × 30 = 15,000 kr. If it applies to deposit plus bonus, it is 1,000 × 30 = 30,000 kr. With the maximum stake of 25 kr per spin, you need at least 600 spins in the first case and at least 1,200 in the second. Compare that with the free spins package, where the requirement is just 1 time.

For most people who want to try the casino without committing, the free spins option is the simpler choice. The deposit bonus suits you better if you already know you want to play quite a lot and have time to wager it within 60 days. Game selection

Unibet says it has more than 3,000 casino games. Among the providers, NetEnt, Quickspin, ELK Studios, Play’n GO, Relax Gaming and Pragmatic Play supply the slots, and Evolution the live tables.

Two of the providers have Swedish roots: NetEnt was founded in Sweden and Play’n GO has its head office in Växjö.

Several of the most played titles are available, including Starburst, Sweet Bonanza and Gates of Olympus. They are three quite different games: Starburst is simple and low-volatility, with no free spins round, while Gates of Olympus and Sweet Bonanza are built on tumbling symbols and multipliers.

If you play with the deposit bonus, the maximum stake is 25 kr per spin. We have not found a list of how different game types contribute to wagering, so ask customer service or read the bonus terms before playing table or live games with an active bonus. Also check the RTP in the game’s info screen – the same slot can exist in several RTP versions.

Live casino

The live casino is supplied by Evolution, which has its head office in Stockholm. It is the only live provider Unibet mentions on its casino page, which does not rule out that there are others.

At Evolution you will find classic roulette and blackjack tables but also game shows, where play is built around a wheel or a bonus round rather than a card game. Remember that the house edge differs between variants, and that no strategy removes it. Decide how much you want to play for before you sit down at a table, and stick to it.

Deposits and withdrawals at Unibet

The payment methods Unibet displays include Swish, Trustly, Apple Pay, Swedbank and Visa and Mastercard cards. The list does not distinguish between deposits and withdrawals, so we have not been able to confirm which of them you can withdraw with.

You log in with BankID, which is also the basis for Unibet verifying your identity in the way the Gambling Act requires. Compare with other casinos that use BankID if a smooth login matters to you.

A Swish deposit usually works like this:

1. Choose Swish at the cashier and enter the amount.
2. Open the Swish app when the payment appears.
3. Approve with BankID.
4. The money appears in your gaming account once the payment has gone through.

If you pay by card, the credit ban tightened on 1 May 2026 applies. Operators must block credit cards, so only debit cards linked to your own account can be used. This applies whichever casino you choose.

As for Unibet withdrawals, the casino only says that they are fast. We have not found any time frame, minimum withdrawal amount or possible fees in the parts of the help centre we could reach. We will add our own withdrawal and customer service tests to the review. Until then, we recommend reading the withdrawal terms in your account before your first deposit.

Unibet on mobile

Unibet has its own casino app for Swedish players, and according to the casino it is available for both iOS and Android.

If you mostly play on your phone, the app can be an alternative to the browser, since BankID and the casino are then on the same device.

Mobile does not change the rules: deposit limits, self-tests and self-exclusion must be available in the same way as on desktop. Also remember that it is easy to play more than you intended when the casino is always in your pocket. Turn off notifications if you do not want reminders about gambling, and review your limits as often as you would on a computer.

Customer service

Unibet primarily refers you to the help centre on its website. The licence company Kaprifol Services Limited also lists phone and email as contact options.

If your question concerns bonus or withdrawal terms, it is wise to ask in writing so that you can save the answer and refer to it later.

We have not found any information on chat opening hours, or on whether support is offered in Swedish. That is a shortcoming for such a large operator, and something we will look at more closely when we update the review.

Responsible gambling tools

At Unibet you can set deposit limits, exclude yourself and follow your gambling through a player profile. There is also an information page on when it is time to stop, and the casino links to Spelinspektionen and Stödlinjen.

Look at your player profile regularly, not just when things have gone badly – it is the pattern over time that tells you most.

The law requires you to set a deposit limit per day, week and month before you play. If you lower the limit it takes effect immediately, while an increase is delayed by at least 72 hours. All Swedish online casinos must also offer an immediate 24-hour break and a test where you can assess your gambling habits.
