New casinos 2026

Here you will find new casinos launched in Sweden during 2025 and 2026 with a licence from Spelinspektionen (the Swedish Gambling Authority), along with a guide to checking a new operator yourself before you deposit money. We only include brands where there is a source for the launch, and we state where the information comes from and which date it applies to.
A new name on the market is not always a new company. Sometimes an established group is behind it, sometimes a well-known brand has moved to a new licence holder. That is why this page is as much a guide to reading the licence register and the terms as it is a list of what is new.
How we select and compare new casinos
A casino only appears on this page when two things are true: there is a source describing the launch or the licence, and the details can be checked against what the authority and the company itself publish. We do not include rumours about upcoming launches.
We assess new casinos on licence and company, bonus terms, payment methods and responsible gambling tools, as described in their terms. We have not played at the new brands, so everything about withdrawals and customer service is based on what the casino states. Where a detail is missing, we say so rather than guess.
New casinos with a Swedish licence 2025–2026
The table is based on industry news and on licence details that we have been able to follow up. The dates are those given in the sources. Note that the publication date of a news article is not necessarily the same day the site opened to Swedish players.
| Brand | What has happened | Licence holder | Date according to the source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reviant | New Swedish licence and launch | EntBox Limited | Licence granted 2 April 2026, valid until 1 April 2031. Launched in mid-April 2026 |
| Snurr Casino | New brand on an existing licence | Speedy Ltd (Paf) | Licence valid 1 March 2025–28 February 2030. Launched by 11 May 2026 at the latest |
| Lodur | New casino under a Swedish licence | Not confirmed – search the register | Reported 16 February 2026 |
| Vera&John | Relaunched in Sweden with a new licence | Not confirmed – search the register | June 2025 (article 11 June 2025) |
Reviant
Reviant received its Swedish licence on 2 April 2026 and launched in mid-April the same year, according to Gambling Insider. The licence holder is EntBox Limited and the licence is valid until 1 April 2031. The trade press describes Reviant as a brand linked to ComeOn Group, but we have not been able to confirm how EntBox is owned.
Snurr Casino
Snurr Casino is a new brand from Paf, run by the licence holder Speedy Ltd. The licence itself is not new – it runs from 1 March 2025 to 28 February 2030 – but the brand had launched in Sweden by 11 May 2026 at the latest, when Gambling Insider wrote about it.
The same applies here as for all sites sharing a licence: if you have already played at another brand under the same licence holder, you may have used up your chance of a welcome bonus. Check in the register which websites sit under the company.
Lodur
Lodur was reported as a new casino under a Swedish licence in February 2026 (Gambling Insider, 16 February 2026). We have not been able to confirm in a reliable source which company is the licence holder. That is exactly the detail you should look up yourself before you register.
Vera&John
Vera&John relaunched in Sweden in June 2025 as Glitnor Group’s fourth Swedish brand, with a new licence according to European Gaming (11 June 2025). So the name is familiar to many, but the company and licence behind it are new. We have not been able to verify the name of the licence holder.
When a well-known brand gets a new licence
Not every headline about a new licence is about a new casino. Over the past year, several established brands have moved their Swedish operations to a different company. You may still notice it as a player, because in some cases the account has had to be opened again.
- Unibet moved its Swedish operations to a new licence under FDJ United on 23 October 2025. The licence holder today is Kaprifol Services Limited, with licence number 25Si952, valid until 22 October 2030. According to industry media, accounts under the old licence were closed and players had to register again.
- Betsson changed licence holder on 30 September 2026, to Spin Nordic Ltd according to several industry media outlets. Existing accounts were closed and players had to register again. The information about the new company comes from the trade press and should be checked against the register.
- GoGoCasino in LeoVegas Group already held an online casino licence when the group announced an additional betting licence on 15 April 2026 and launched the sports betting section Tiger. That is an expansion, not a new casino.
If you need to register again with a brand you already know, do it with the same care as at a completely new casino: set your limits from the start and read the new terms, as they may have changed with the switch.
Same group does not mean same licence
Many new brands come from groups already present on the Swedish market. It is easy to assume that all sites in a group share a licence, but often they do not. The bonus rule and your limits follow the licence holder, so it is the company in the register that decides.
Some examples from our fact base:
- ComeOn Group has several Swedish brands with their own licence companies, including Snabbare (Snabbare Ltd, licence 25Si1513) and Hajper (Hajper Ltd, licence 25Si1514).
- In LeoVegas Group, Expekt sits with LeoEx Ltd (licence 23Si807) and BetMGM with MGMNordic Ltd (licence 24Si1633), while LeoVegas itself is run by Roar Vegas Ltd.
- Unibet’s sister brand Maria Casino has its own licence held by Tussilago Limited (licence 25Si969).
For you this means two things. A bonus at one brand does not automatically close the door at another in the same group, and an exclusion you set directly at one casino does not necessarily apply at the group’s other sites. If you want to pause gambling everywhere, Spelpaus (the national self-exclusion register) is the right tool.
How to check a new casino in the licence register
The most important check only takes a few minutes. Spelinspektionen, the authority in Strängnäs that issues licences and supervises the gambling market, publishes a register of everyone holding a valid licence. It also shows which websites each licence holder operates.
- Open Spelinspektionen’s licence register and search for the brand or domain name.
- Compare the company name with the one in the footer of the casino’s own website. If the information is missing there, that is a reason to be careful.
- Check that the licence covers commercial online gambling and not just betting, and how long it is valid.
- Check that the exact address you are visiting is listed under the licence holder. A brand can have several domains, and it is the addresses in the register that count.
- If you want to compare several companies, you can download the whole register as an Excel file from the same page.
If you cannot find the company or the website in the register, you should stay away. A site without a Swedish licence is not covered by Spelpaus, and if the company targets Sweden without the required licence, winnings above 100 kr may also become taxable.
Also look at when the licence was granted. Spelinspektionen publishes its supervisory decisions, such as warnings and administrative fines, and for established companies there is often a track record to read. A company with a licence that is only a few weeks old has no such history yet, so the terms have to carry more weight in your assessment.
How to assess the terms at a new casino
A new operator lacks the track record that players and reviewers can otherwise rely on. The terms are therefore the best basis you have. Read both the bonus terms and the general terms before your first deposit – not when you want to make your first withdrawal.
What is the wagering requirement calculated on?
The same number can mean a completely different amount of play. At LeoVegas the deposit has to be wagered 10 times, while Casumo calculates 20 times on bonus plus deposit, according to the casinos’ own terms. Terms checked on 15 October 2026. Terms and conditions apply.
A worked example shows the difference. If you deposit 500 kr and receive 500 kr in bonus, 20 times bonus plus deposit means 20,000 kr in wagering. If the requirement only applies to the bonus, it is 10,000 kr, and if it only applies to the deposit at 10 times, it is 5,000 kr.
If it is not clearly stated what the requirement is calculated on, that in itself tells you something about how the terms are written. If you want to go deeper, there is a separate guide on how wagering requirements work.
Maximum stake, validity period and game contribution
Look for three more details. The maximum stake states how much you may bet per round while the bonus is active – at Casumo it is 50 kr and at Unibet 25 kr per game or spin. The validity period determines how long you have, and at several established casinos it is 60 days.
Game contribution shows how much different games count towards the requirement. At LeoVegas many slots count 100%, table games 10% and live games not at all. A new casino without such a table leaves you guessing, and that is a weakness.
Withdrawal rules and verification
See what the casino states about withdrawal times, minimum withdrawals and which methods can be used for withdrawals. A casino that only writes “fast withdrawals” gives you less to go on than one that states a time. Snabbare, for example, states that withdrawals via Trustly reach your bank account within 15 minutes after the withdrawal has been processed, with the caveat that smaller banks may take longer.
Clauses that give the company a free hand
Also read the general terms. After Betsson’s licence change, Swedish players criticised a new clause that, according to industry media, lets the company refuse or restrict play “for any reason whatsoever”. Wording like that is good to know about before you deposit, whether the casino is new or old.
Welcome bonuses at new casinos – the same rules for everyone
Under Chapter 14, Section 9 of Spellagen (the Gambling Act), a licence holder may only offer or give a bonus the first time you play with the company. A new casino can therefore have a welcome bonus, but no recurring bonuses after that. If you see promotions for existing customers on a Swedish site, that is a warning sign.
The legal text ties the rule to the licence holder’s games and not to the brand. If the company behind a new casino has several sites on the same licence, you should therefore expect one bonus at any of them to cover the whole licence. On 29 April 2026 Spelinspektionen issued a remark to a company for giving bonuses to customers more than once.
A bonus is never a reason in itself to choose a new casino. If you still want to compare offers, there is a rundown of welcome bonuses at Swedish casinos, where the focus is on the terms rather than the amounts.
The Swedish licence explained – what it gives you at a new casino
A Swedish licence means a new casino must follow exactly the same rules as the established ones from day one. You must be at least 18 and identify yourself when you register, and the company must verify your identity securely, in practice usually with BankID.
Before you play, you must set a limit on your deposits per day, week and month. If you lower the limit it applies immediately, while an increase takes effect no earlier than 72 hours later. The casino must also offer a self-assessment test and the option to exclude yourself.
Since 1 May 2026 an extended ban on gambling with credit has also applied, and winnings from a company with a Swedish licence are tax-free for you. If you need more options than the new names, more licensed Swedish casinos are gathered on a separate page.
Payment methods at new casinos
Among the established Swedish casinos we cover, Trustly and Swish are the payment methods that come up most often. If a new casino is unclear about which methods apply to deposits and which to withdrawals, ask customer service before you deposit.
Trustly moves money directly from your bank account after you have identified yourself with your bank, and according to its terms Trustly does not charge a fee for the service. Fees from your own bank or for currency conversion may apply. Here you can read more about Trustly at casinos.
Credit cards should be blocked. Since 1 May 2026, licensed operators must block credit cards as a payment method and should prevent e-wallets from being topped up with credit cards. A new casino that still accepts credit cards is not following the rules.
Warning signs on new casino sites
Most of what you need to know about a new casino is visible before you register. Be extra careful if you see any of the following:
- The company or domain is missing from the licence register.
- Bonuses are also offered to existing customers.
- Credit cards are accepted as a payment method.
- The withdrawal terms lack times, minimum amounts or methods.
- The marketing creates time pressure or presents gambling as a way to make money.
- There is no reference to Spelpaus or to a helpline for gambling problems.
Two of the points are straightforward legal requirements. Swedish gambling advertising must be moderate, and adverts must state the age limit and contact details for an organisation that provides support for gambling problems. If you would rather start from established sites, there is an overview of casinos with a Swedish licence where we cover both old and new names.
If you want to see how a larger company presents its licence, bonus terms and payments, you can compare with our ComeOn review, whose group, according to the trade press, is linked to Reviant.
Checklist before your first deposit
- The company and the web address are in the licence register.
- You know whether the casino shares a licence with a site where you have already played.
- You have read what the wagering requirement is calculated on, the maximum stake and how long the bonus is valid.
- Withdrawal methods, any minimum amounts and withdrawal times are stated in the terms.
- You have set a deposit limit you can manage with, even if you lose the whole amount.
If you cannot tick off every point, it is better to wait. A new casino is not going anywhere, and terms that are unclear today may become clearer once the site has been running for a while.
Responsible gambling at a new casino
A new casino is still a casino. Only play with money you can afford to lose and set a deposit limit you can manage with. You can also exclude yourself immediately for 24 hours at the casino.
If you want to pause all gambling with Swedish licence holders at once, you can register on Spelpaus.se for 10 days, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or until further notice (at least 12 months). The exclusion cannot be undone or ended early. If you need to talk to someone, you can call Stödlinjen, the national gambling helpline, on 020-81 91 00 or chat via stodlinjen.se.
Frequently asked questions
How do I know if a new casino has a Swedish licence?
Search for the brand or web address in Spelinspektionen’s licence register. There you can see which company holds the licence, which websites the company operates and how long the licence is valid. Then compare the company name with the details in the footer of the casino’s website.
Which new casinos have launched in Sweden in 2026?
According to the trade press, Reviant launched in mid-April 2026 and Lodur at the start of the year, and Paf’s Snurr Casino had launched by May 2026 at the latest. Always check the licence in the register before you play, as details can change.
Can I get a welcome bonus at a new casino if I have already played at another?
It depends on the licence holder. The bonus rule in Spellagen (the Gambling Act) applies per licence holder, so if the new casino runs under the same licence as a site you have already played on, you should expect not to get a new bonus. If the casino sits under a different company, the rule applies afresh.
Are new casinos safer or less safe than old ones?
A new casino with a Swedish licence must follow the same rules as the established ones, including deposit limits, Spelpaus and the ban on gambling with credit. The difference is that there is no track record, such as previous supervisory decisions. So read the terms especially carefully.
Why do I have to register again at a casino where I already have an account?
When a brand moves to a new licence holder, the old accounts may be closed. According to industry media, that happened when Unibet changed licence in October 2025 and when Betsson changed licence holder in September 2026. You then need to set new limits and accept the new terms.
