Casino bonuses 2026
A casino bonus at an operator with a Swedish licence is a one-off offer: you can get it the first time you play with the company, but not again. That is why it pays to choose carefully. Here we compare the current offers at the casinos in our comparison and show how to work out what the terms actually require of you.
The biggest amount in the advert is rarely what matters. A match bonus where only the deposit has to be wagered a few times can be much easier to complete than a smaller bonus where the deposit and bonus together have to be played through many times over. Below we go through what separates the offers, and which traps are easy to fall into.
How we compare casino bonus offers
We read the terms at each casino and pick out the parts that determine what the bonus is worth in practice:
- What the wagering requirement is calculated on – the deposit, the bonus or both.
- How many times the amount has to be wagered.
- The maximum stake allowed per game or spin while the bonus is active.
- How much time you have.
- How much different games contribute to the wagering.
- Whether winnings from free spins have their own wagering requirement.
We have not claimed any of the bonuses ourselves. Everything below is based on the casinos’ terms as they stood when we checked them, and where the terms are unclear or contradict themselves, we say so.
One example: Unibet’s bonus page names two different versions of the same slot for its free spins offer, and it is not clear whether the wagering requirement on the match bonus applies to the bonus alone or to the deposit plus bonus. Gaps like these are one of the best reasons to always read the full terms before you make your first deposit.
Best casino bonus by category
The offers can be divided into a few main types. Which one suits you depends on what you want to play and how much you plan to deposit – not on which number looks biggest.
Deposit bonus on the first deposit
The most common form is for the casino to match your first deposit by a percentage up to a maximum amount. At Mr Green it is 100% up to 1,500 kr and at ComeOn 300% up to 750 kr, according to the casinos’ terms. The percentage, however, tells you nothing about how much you have to play through before the money can be withdrawn.
Match bonuses are often combined with free spins in a package. We compare how the different packages are built up under casino welcome bonuses.
Free spins
Free spins are spins on a specific slot at a fixed value per spin, which makes them easy to value: number of spins times the value per spin. Casumo gives 40 free spins at 1 kr each on Big Bass Bonanza, where the winnings have their own wagering requirement of 10x. At Mr Green, winnings from the 100 free spins on Book of Dead do not need to be wagered at all.
More offers with spins, and what to look for in their terms, can be found on the page about free spins offers.
Bonuses with low or no wagering requirements
Some offers have very low requirements. Unibet offers 50 free spins at 2 kr each with a wagering requirement of 1x, and LeoVegas has a model where you wager your deposit 10 times and then receive the bonus paid out as real money. These are two different set-ups, but both are easier to keep track of than a classic match bonus with a high requirement.
Offers where winnings are paid out directly are compared under no-wagering casino bonuses.
Live casino bonuses
Ordinary casino bonuses rarely count in full on live tables. Some casinos therefore have a separate offer for live games. In October 2026 LeoVegas lists a live casino offer on its website of 100% up to 4,000 kr with a 35x wagering requirement within 60 days. Note that you can still only choose one of the casino’s offers.

The table shows the casino offers for new players according to the casinos’ own terms. Where the offer could only be confirmed through unreliable sources, it says “See the casino’s terms”.

Note that the wagering requirement column cannot be read at face value. A requirement of 25x the deposit and a requirement of 20x bonus plus deposit can produce roughly the same total amount, depending on how much you deposit. The worked examples further down show how it works.
Why you only get one bonus per operator
Spellagen (the Gambling Act) states that a licence holder may only offer or give a bonus the first time a player plays any of the licence holder’s games. Recurring deposit bonuses, loyalty programmes involving money and VIP offers are therefore not found at casinos with a Swedish licence. We have not found any change to the rule for online casinos during 2025 or 2026.
The courts have interpreted the rule strictly. The Administrative Court in Linköping ruled that a bonus split across several deposits counts as several bonuses, and that publishing an offer on the website is enough for it to count as offering it. In April 2026 Spelinspektionen (the Swedish Gambling Authority) issued a remark to Polar Limited, which had given a bonus to several customers more than once.
Because the rule applies to the licence holder, it matters which brands share a licence. Often a group’s brands have separate licence companies. LeoVegas, for example, has its own licence, while Expekt and BetMGM in the same group each have their own. Likewise, Unibet and Maria Casino have different licence companies. Within ComeOn Group, ComeOn, Snabbare and Hajper appear to each have their own licence company, but it is worth checking in the licence register.
The casinos’ own terms can also be stricter than the law. Unibet allows one bonus per player, household and payment method, Casumo one per household and IP address, and at Mr Green you can only choose one of the offers for new players.
Payment method and deposit for the bonus
To get the bonus you need to make a first deposit of at least the amount stated in the terms – at the casinos in the table usually 100 kr. You normally make the deposit with Trustly or Swish and approve it with BankID. Also check whether any payment method is excluded from the offer, as this is stated in the terms and is not always visible in the cashier.
Credit cards cannot be used to fund a bonus deposit. Since 1 May 2026, licensed online casinos must block credit cards completely, and e-wallets topped up with credit cards must also be stopped. If you want to compare casinos where both registration and deposit are done with e-ID, see our list of casinos with BankID.
According to its terms, Trustly charges you as a player no fee, but your bank or a currency conversion may cost something. More about how the payment works step by step can be found on the page about Trustly at casinos.
How to assess the bonus terms
Four points in the terms almost always decide whether a bonus is worth taking. Read them before you deposit, not afterwards.
Wagering requirements
The wagering requirement (omsättningskrav in Swedish) states how much you must stake before the bonus or winnings can be withdrawn. The key thing is what the multiplier applies to: the deposit, the bonus or the sum of both. The same number can mean completely different amounts depending on what it is calculated on. More worked examples and common misunderstandings can be found in our guide to wagering requirements.
Maximum stake
While the bonus is active, you cannot stake as much as you like per game. At Unibet the limit is 25 kr per game or spin, and at Casumo 50 kr. If you stake more, you risk losing the bonus, so read what the terms say about exactly that. At LeoVegas and Mr Green, no maximum stake is given in the terms we have read for the main offer.
Validity period
Most of the offers in the table are valid for 60 days. LeoVegas has a multi-step set-up: 60 days to activate the offer, 60 days to meet the wagering requirement, 60 days to claim the bonus and then 60 days to use your free spins. If you miss a deadline, the offer may expire.
Game contribution
Not all games count equally. At LeoVegas most slots count 100%, but many titles are excluded and count 0%, while Blood Suckers and Dead or Alive count 70%. Table games and video poker count 10%, and live games do not count at all. So if you stake 1,000 kr on a table game that counts 10%, the wagering requirement only goes down by 100 kr.
Free bets and combined offers
Some packages mix casino and sport. In addition to the match bonus and the 100 free spins, ComeOn also gives a 100 kr free bet at minimum odds of 1.80. It is part of the same offer and therefore does not count as a separate bonus. If you have no interest in sport, that part has no value to you, and you should compare the offer without it.
Also remember that winnings at a casino with a Swedish licence are tax-free, even when they come from a bonus or free spins. That is not necessarily the case with companies without a Swedish licence.
Worked examples: how much you need to wager
With the figures from the table, the differences become clear. The examples assume you deposit the amount that gives the maximum bonus.
- LeoVegas: you deposit 4,000 kr and get 4,000 kr in bonus. The requirement is 10x the deposit, so 40,000 kr in wagering. After that, the bonus is paid out as real money.
- Mr Green: you deposit 1,500 kr and get 1,500 kr in bonus. The requirement is 25x the deposit: 1,500 × 25 = 37,500 kr.
- Casumo: you deposit 500 kr and get 500 kr in bonus. The requirement is 20x bonus plus deposit: 1,000 × 20 = 20,000 kr.
- ComeOn: you deposit 250 kr and get 300%, so 750 kr in bonus. The requirement is 20x the bonus: 750 × 20 = 15,000 kr.
If you calculate per krona deposited, the picture looks different. At LeoVegas and Mr Green you wager 10 and 25 kronor respectively per krona deposited, at Casumo 40 kronor and at ComeOn 60 kronor. That is exactly why a low number of “x” is not enough for a comparison – you need to know what it is multiplied by.
The maximum stake also affects how long you need to play. With Casumo’s limit of 50 kr, at least 400 spins are needed to reach 20,000 kr, and in practice more, since few people play at the maximum stake the whole time. Remember that every spin has a negative expected outcome for you as a player. The larger the wagering, the more of the bonus is likely to be eaten up along the way.
What are your free spins worth?
Free spins are easiest to convert into kronor: number of spins times the value per spin. That gives a fairer comparison than the number of spins.
- LeoVegas: 100 spins at 2 kr = 200 kr in stakes.
- Mr Green: 100 spins at 1 kr = 100 kr, and the winnings do not need to be wagered.
- Unibet: 50 spins at 2 kr = 100 kr, with a wagering requirement of 1x.
- ComeOn: 100 spins at 1 kr = 100 kr.
- Casumo: 40 spins at 1 kr = 40 kr, and the winnings must be wagered 10x.
The value, then, is the stakes, not what you will win. The outcome of the spins depends entirely on chance, and winnings can be larger or smaller than the stake value – or nothing at all.
Casino or sport – choose your offer carefully
Many casinos also hold a betting licence and therefore offer several welcome offers on the same site. Because the licence holder may only give one bonus, you have to choose. According to its website in October 2026, LeoVegas, for example, has a sports package as well as the casino offer, with a match up to 600 kr and a requirement to bet 6 times the deposit at minimum odds of 1.80. ComeOn has a sports option of 100% up to 500 kr.
So think about what you will actually play most before you make your first deposit. If you have already taken a sports offer with a company, there is no casino bonus left to claim there.
How to go about using a bonus
- Read the terms and note the wagering requirement, maximum stake, validity period and excluded games.
- Decide how much you want to deposit – based on your budget, not the bonus ceiling.
- Register and set your deposit limits.
- Check whether the offer requires a bonus code. Mr Green, for example, gives the code MRDUBBEL for its main offer.
- Make the deposit and check that the bonus shows up in your account.
- Keep track of how much of the wagering requirement remains and how much time you have left.
Common mistakes with casino bonuses
- Only looking at the amount. A large match bonus with a high requirement can be worth less than a smaller offer with a low requirement.
- Missing what the requirement is calculated on. Deposit, bonus or both – the total can differ several times over.
- Staking above the maximum stake. A single bet that is too large can be enough for you to lose the bonus.
- Playing excluded games. Live and table games often count little or not at all.
- Depositing more than planned to get the full bonus. Your budget should decide the deposit, not the bonus ceiling.
- Counting on a new bonus later. With a Swedish licence holder you only get one.
One last piece of advice: you do not have to accept a bonus. If the terms feel complicated or you do not plan to play as much as required, it is perfectly reasonable to decline and play with your own money, without restrictions on maximum stake and game choice.
Responsible gambling and bonuses
A bonus can make you play more or for longer than you intended, precisely because you want to meet the wagering requirement before time runs out. So decide your deposit limit before you accept the offer and stick to it, even if that means the bonus expires.
If you want to take a break from gambling with all licensed operators, you can exclude yourself via Spelpaus, the self-exclusion register, for anything from 10 days up to until further notice. The exclusion cannot be ended early. If you need advice about your gambling, you can reach Stödlinjen, the national gambling helpline, on 020-81 91 00.

What is a casino bonus?
An offer for new players, usually a percentage match of the first deposit, free spins or both. At a casino with a Swedish licence you only get the bonus the first time you play with the licence holder.
Can I get a new bonus if I have already played at the casino?
No, not with the same licence holder. If another site has the same licence company, the same rule applies. A casino in the same group but with its own licence company can, however, offer you a bonus.
What does a 20x wagering requirement mean?
That you have to stake 20 times a certain amount before the bonus can be withdrawn. If the requirement applies to bonus plus deposit and you have 1,000 kr in total, that comes to 20,000 kr. Always read what the multiplier is calculated on.
What is the maximum stake in bonus terms?
The highest stake you may place per game or spin while the bonus is active. At Unibet it is 25 kr and at Casumo 50 kr. Read in the terms what happens if you stake more – in the worst case you can lose the bonus.
Are winnings from a casino bonus tax-free?
Yes, if the casino has a Swedish licence, winnings are tax-free, even when they come from a bonus. With companies targeting Sweden without a Swedish licence, winnings above 100 kr may be taxable.
Do I have to accept the bonus?
No. You can play without a bonus and then avoid wagering requirements, maximum stakes and excluded games. That can be sensible if you do not plan to play as much as the terms require.
