No-wagering casino bonuses 2026

By Emma Bergqvist · Fact-checked by Mikael Sandberg against Spelinspektionen's licence register · Updated 19 October 2026

No-wagering casino bonuses 2026

A casino bonus without wagering requirements (omsättningskrav in Swedish) means that what you win with the bonus counts as your own money straight away – you do not need to play the amount through a set number of times before withdrawing. On this page we go through which Swedish offers lack such requirements, fully or partly, and how to compare them.

An honest answer first: among the offers we have reviewed, there are no fully wager-free welcome packages. What does exist is free spin winnings that are free from requirements, while a match bonus in the same package comes with conditions. That is why it is wise to read which part of the offer the promise actually applies to.

What is a no-wagering casino bonus?

A regular bonus comes with a multiplier: the bonus, the deposit or both must be staked a set number of times before the money can be withdrawn. A wager-free bonus, that is, a bonus with no wagering, skips that step. The winnings land in your real balance and can be withdrawn like any other money.

Three variants you will come across

  • Free spins without wagering requirements. The spins have a fixed value and everything you win is paid out directly. This is the form we see most often in the comparison below.
  • A bonus paid out as real money. The requirement applies to your own deposit, but once it has been met the bonus is paid out with no further conditions.
  • A very low requirement. A 1x requirement is not zero, but the difference compared with, say, 30x is large.

Wager-free compared with a low requirement

Between fully wager-free and requirements of 20–30 times, which several of the offers below have, there is a middle ground. Unibet, for example, states a 1x wagering requirement for its spins offer. A 1x requirement means the amount must be played through once: 100 kr becomes 100 kr in wagering. It is a small step, but it is not the same as money you can withdraw straight away.

Note that “no wagering” rarely means “no conditions”. There may still be a minimum deposit, a time limit and a specific game that the spins apply to.

Swedish rules: one bonus per licence holder

Chapter 14, Section 9 of Spellagen (the Gambling Act) only allows a licence holder to offer or give a bonus on the first occasion you play any of its games. This means you get a single offer per operator – which makes how easily the bonus turns into withdrawable money more important than how big it looks.

The restriction follows the licence, not the logo. The wording of the law suggests that sites run under the same licence share the same bonus occasion, even though there is no explicit guidance or ruling on that particular question. If you want to see which company holds the licence behind a site, you can search in the licence register of Spelinspektionen, the Swedish Gambling Authority.

What the law counts as a bonus

The law describes a bonus as a discount or similar financial incentive directly linked to the gambling. That also covers free spins with wager-free winnings. An offer having no wagering requirement does not make it anything other than a bonus – it still uses up your one bonus occasion with the licence holder.

One more thing that makes wager-free winnings especially clear-cut in Sweden: winnings from operators with a Swedish licence are tax-free for you as a player. So you do not need to declare what you withdraw.

Offers with wager-free elements

The table shows welcome offers at Swedish casinos and which part is free from requirements. Where nothing in the offer is wager-free, that is shown too, so that you can compare.

Mr Green’s alternative packages and the details for Unibet and ComeOn are taken from the casinos’ websites in October 2026. At Mr Green, new players can choose only one of the offers. Unibet’s promotion page names two different games for the spins, so we do not state the game name. For Betsson and Snabbare we have not been able to confirm the offer – see the terms at the casino before you deposit money.

Mr Green is the operator in the comparison that most clearly offers spin winnings with no requirements at all. The full set-up, including payments and game selection, is covered in our Mr Green review.

How LeoVegas’s set-up works

LeoVegas is not one of the wager-free offers in the strict sense, but the set-up is closer than you might think. The 10x requirement applies only to your deposit. Once it has been met, the bonus is paid out as real money, without any requirement of its own. With a made-up deposit of 400 kr, that means 400 × 10 = 4,000 kr in wagering, followed by 400 kr in bonus that can be withdrawn. A 20x requirement on deposit plus bonus would in the same example have been 800 × 20 = 16,000 kr.

How to compare no-wagering free spins

When the requirement is gone, the focus shifts to other details. These are the questions we ask ourselves when we review a wager-free offer:

  • Which part is wager-free? Spin winnings without requirements are good, but if the match bonus in the same package requires 25x on the deposit, that is the figure that drives your play.
  • How much are the spins worth in total? 25 spins at 4 kr and 100 spins at 1 kr both equal 100 kr in stakes.
  • How large a deposit is required? A package with a higher spin value may require a deposit that does not suit your budget.
  • How much time do you have? Mr Green states 60 days for its offers.
  • Is there a cap on winnings? Read the terms – any maximum win affects the value.

Take Mr Green’s three packages as an example. 25 spins at 4 kr and 100 spins at 1 kr both equal 100 kr in stakes, while 50 spins at 5 kr equal 250 kr. The last package therefore gives the most spin value, but it also requires the largest deposit and has a 1x wagering requirement. The main offer combines the spins with a match bonus that has its own requirement.

If you are unsure how a multiplier is calculated, or want to understand why 20x on deposit plus bonus is more than it sounds, we go through it in our guide to wagering requirements.

Step by step: how to use a wager-free offer

  1. Check which licence holder is behind the site and that you have not already played there.
  2. Read which part of the offer is wager-free and which code or choice is required, for example SWEET25 at Mr Green.
  3. Set your deposit limit and make the minimum deposit the terms require – no more.
  4. Play the spins on the specified game within the time limit.
  5. Check that the winnings have landed in your real balance, and make a withdrawal if you wish.

Worked example: the same win with and without requirements

The figures below are made up and are only there to show how the requirements bite. Suppose your free spins produce 120 kr in winnings.

Terms on the winningsCalculationTo play through before withdrawal
No requirement–0 kr, 120 kr can be withdrawn straight away
1x120 × 1120 kr
10x120 × 101200 kr
35x120 × 354200 kr

Every krona you stake while wagering has the house edge working against it. With a hypothetical return to player of 96%, you lose on average 4 öre (0.04 kr) per krona staked. On 1,200 kr of wagering that is theoretically 48 kr, and on 4,200 kr a full 168 kr – more than the winnings themselves. The individual outcome varies greatly, of course, but the example shows why wager-free winnings are often worth more than they look.

A big bonus with requirements or small spins without?

Compare a made-up bonus of 1,000 kr with a 30x requirement on the bonus and a spins package worth 100 kr with no requirement. The bonus requires 1,000 × 30 = 30,000 kr in wagering. With the same hypothetical return of 96%, the theoretical cost of playing through the requirement is 30,000 × 0.04 = 1,200 kr – more than the bonus is worth. The spins package is smaller, but everything you win is yours straight away. This is an average, of course; in reality the outcome can be both better and worse.

Common misconceptions about no-wagering bonuses

  • “No wagering means I don’t have to deposit anything.” All of the offers above require a first deposit.
  • “The whole package is wager-free.” Often it only applies to the spin winnings – the match bonus has its own terms.
  • “I can take several wager-free offers at the same operator.” No, a licence holder may only give a bonus on the first occasion you play.
  • “A low requirement is the same as no requirement.” 1x is kind, but it still means the amount must be played through.
  • “Wager-free means I can’t lose.” Your deposit is your own money, and you can lose it just as usual.

If you want to compare all spins offers, including those with requirements, you will find them on our page about free spins.

Responsible gambling, even without requirements

Wager-free winnings make it easier to stop when you want to, but they do not change the fact that gambling for money should be entertainment within a budget you can afford to lose. The deposit limit you set when registering is your most important safeguard, and it can be lowered immediately. If you want to see how wager-free offers compare with other types of bonus, there is a comparison of casino bonuses.

Operators must also offer a tool for testing your gambling habits and the option to exclude yourself immediately for 24 hours. Since 1 May 2026, gambling may not be funded with credit either, so credit cards are blocked as a payment method.

If you notice that you are chasing losses or playing for more than you intended, you can exclude yourself from all Swedish operators via Spelpaus.se, the national self-exclusion register, from 10 days upwards. The exclusion cannot be reversed early. Stödlinjen, the national gambling helpline, answers on 020-819 100 and also has a chat at stodlinjen.se.

Frequently asked questions

What does a no-wagering bonus mean?

It means the winnings from the bonus count as real money straight away and can be withdrawn without you first playing them through. There may still be other terms, such as a minimum deposit and a time limit.

Are there casino bonuses without wagering requirements in Sweden?

Yes, but in the offers we have reviewed it applies to free spins where the winnings are wager-free, not to entire welcome packages. At Mr Green, winnings from the welcome offer’s spins do not need to be wagered according to the promotion page.

Are no-wagering free spins better than a large match bonus?

It depends on the requirements. A large bonus with a high requirement can mean playing through many times the amount, while wager-free spin winnings can be withdrawn straight away. Work out what you have to play through before you can withdraw.

Do I have to pay tax on winnings from a no-wagering bonus?

No, not if the operator holds a Swedish licence. Winnings from licensed Swedish operators are tax-free for the player.

Can I get another no-wagering bonus at the same casino later?

No. A Swedish licence holder may only offer a bonus on the first occasion you play with the company, so it is one offer per licence.
