Coolbet changes welcome bonus for Swedish players
Coolbet has changed its welcome offer for new sports betting customers. The Estonian-owned operator, which has held a Swedish licence since 2019, now offers a 300 kronor freebet instead of its previous percentage-based odds bonus. The change was noted on 29 October 2026.
What’s new
Previously, new Coolbet customers received a 100 percent bonus up to 1,000 kronor with the code ODDS, with the full bonus amount needing to be wagered six times at minimum odds of 1.80. Coolbet has now switched to a 300 kr free bet when the customer deposits at least 300 kr using the code SPORT300, replacing the previous 100 percent bonus up to 1,000 kr with the code ODDS.
The new offer works as a free bet rather than a classic matched bonus. Coolbet gives new customers a 300 kr free bet on their first deposit of at least 300 kr with the code SPORT300, and players only keep the net winnings, which must be wagered six times at minimum odds of 1.80, while the deposit itself is wagered once before withdrawal. The offer applies only to new players, requires a minimum deposit of 300 kronor with the code SPORT300, and the free bet must be used within 30 days and cannot be claimed via Neteller or Skrill.
Coolbet’s casino bonus appears unchanged alongside this shift. The casino bonus remains at 100 percent up to 1,500 kronor plus 50 free spins. The company runs its Swedish operations under the name Polar Limited. Coolbet holds a Swedish gambling licence from Spelinspektionen, registered under the company name Polar Limited and valid until 2028.
What it means for you as a player
The difference between the two setups comes down to how much money actually ends up in your pocket. With the old odds bonus, players got the full bonus amount to wager with, while the new free bet only pays out net winnings once the wagering requirement is met. The real value of the offer therefore drops from roughly 880 kronor to around 147 kronor, according to an independent overview of Swedish odds bonuses. In practice, that means a less generous offer for anyone signing up as a new Coolbet customer.
As with all welcome bonuses at Swedish-licensed operators, the same basic rule applies.
