Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure
KasinoHitta is funded through advertising in the form of affiliate agreements with gambling operators. This means we may receive a commission from a casino when you open an account there via a link on our site. On this page we explain how that works, how we label advertising and why the commission does not influence what we write.
We believe you should know who pays for the content you read, as it helps you judge the articles. That is why we are open about our business model, both on this page and next to every link to a gambling operator.
How the affiliate model works
An affiliate link is a link to a gambling operator that lets the operator see that the visitor came from KasinoHitta. If you open an account via the link, we may receive a commission under our agreement with the operator. The terms for you as a player are the same whether you arrive via us or go directly to the casino. Every casino we cover is also assessed in the same way, regardless of whether we have an agreement with the operator.
It is this commission that allows us to write reviews, guides and breakdowns of terms. You pay nothing to read the site; the commission is paid by the gambling operator.
Just as important is what the affiliate model does not mean. KasinoHitta is not a gambling operator. We do not accept deposits, have no access to your gambling account and cannot influence how the casino handles your account. Your agreement is always with the gambling operator, and questions about your account, withdrawals or bonuses should go to the casino’s customer service.
How we label advertising
Links and buttons leading to a gambling operator are labelled “Reklam” (advertising). The links are also technically marked as sponsored, so that search engines can tell them apart from ordinary editorial links.
In-text links leading to other pages on KasinoHitta, to public authorities or to support organisations are ordinary editorial links and earn us nothing. We never place links to gambling operators directly in the running text, only as clearly labelled buttons.
The labelling complies with the Swedish Marketing Practices Act (marknadsföringslagen), which requires it to be clear when something is advertising. The Act is supervised by the Swedish Consumer Agency.
Commission does not affect ratings or facts
An affiliate agreement never affects our ratings, nor does it determine which details we publish. Every casino is assessed against the same five sub-scores, and a gambling operator cannot pay for a higher rating or for a detail to be worded in a particular way. Details we cannot confirm are not published, whichever casino is concerned. You can read how the assessment works on our page how we rate casinos.
Only operators with a Swedish licence
We only work with casinos licensed by Spelinspektionen, and we never link to gambling operators without a Swedish licence. With licensed operators you have access to deposit limits, self-exclusion and Spelpaus (the national self-exclusion register), and that is a precondition for us covering them. An operator without a Swedish licence cannot buy a place on KasinoHitta.
Moderate advertising
Spellagen (the Swedish Gambling Act) requires gambling marketing to be moderate and not specifically aimed at people under 18. We therefore never write that gambling is a way to make money, we promise no winnings and we do not use time pressure to get you to open an account. KasinoHitta is intended only for those aged 18 or over. If your gambling is starting to become a problem, you can call Stödlinjen, the Swedish gambling helpline, on 020-819 100.

Frequently asked questions
Does KasinoHitta get paid by the casinos?
Yes, we may receive a commission from a gambling operator when a reader opens an account via one of our links. That is how the site is funded.
Does the commission affect your ratings?
No. Every casino is assessed against the same five sub-scores, and a casino cannot pay for a higher rating or for us to publish different information.
Why are some links marked Reklam?
Links to gambling operators are commercial because we may earn commission through them. We therefore label them “Reklam” (Swedish for advertising), so this is always clear to you.
Do you work with casinos without a Swedish licence?
No. We only write about and link to gambling operators licensed by Spelinspektionen, the Swedish Gambling Authority.
