Mr Green review

By Mikael Sandberg · Fact-checked by Emma Bergqvist against Spelinspektionen's licence register · Updated 19 October 2026

Mr Green review

Mr Green suits you if you want a welcome offer where winnings from free spins do not need to be wagered, and a casino that puts a lot of effort into responsible gambling. The licence is valid until 2029. At the same time, there is more uncertainty around Mr Green than around most large Swedish operators: the ownership is changing, and we have not been able to confirm several details about the game selection and withdrawals.

That is why our Mr Green review lands on an acceptable but cautious score. The bonus terms are easy to follow, while the game selection and payments will have to wait for better information.

Mr Green was founded in 2007 by Fredrik Sidfalk, Henrik Bergquist and Mikael Pawlo. Today the casino is part of evoke plc, the group formerly known as 888 Holdings. Below we go through what you can expect according to the casino’s own terms and public information.

We have not been able to verify the number of the current licence. The number sometimes shown in app stores belongs to the first Swedish licence, which has expired, so we will not print a number until we have been able to check it.

The ongoing change of ownership

Mr Green has changed hands more than once. William Hill bought the company in January 2019, and when 888 Holdings – today evoke plc – bought William Hill in July 2022, Mr Green came along with it. On 5 June 2026 evoke agreed an acquisition with Bally’s Intralot, and evoke’s shareholders approved the deal in August. It is expected to complete in the fourth quarter of 2026 or the first quarter of 2027.

Analysts have also mentioned Mr Green as a brand that could be sold on after the deal, but nothing of the kind has been announced. How the deal will affect players has not been communicated, so read the terms again if you are notified of changes.

Is Mr Green legitimate?

Mr Green Limited holds an active Swedish licence for casino and betting valid until 26 March 2029, and therefore follows the rules of Spellagen (the Gambling Act). According to trade media, the company was one of those that Spelinspektionen (the Swedish Gambling Authority) was monitoring more closely in spring 2026. You can check the licence yourself in Spelinspektionen’s licence register by searching for Mr Green Limited.

Welcome bonus and terms

The main offer gives a 100% bonus up to 1,500 kr, valid in both the casino and the live casino, plus 100 free spins at 1 kr each on Book of Dead. The minimum deposit is 100 kr and the bonus code is MRDUBBEL.

Two things make the offer unusual. The first is that the wagering requirement (omsättningskrav), 25 times, is calculated on the deposit rather than the bonus. The second is that winnings from free spins do not need to be wagered at all. Whatever you win on the 100 spins is therefore free of wagering requirements. The same deposit-based structure is used at LeoVegas casino, although the levels differ.

How to claim the main offer

  1. Register with BankID and set your deposit limits.
  2. Enter the bonus code MRDUBBEL with your first deposit.
  3. Deposit at least 100 kr – up to 1,500 kr is matched.
  4. Play your 100 free spins on Book of Dead; the winnings carry no requirement.
  5. Wager the deposit 25 times within 60 days.

Worked example

If you deposit 1,000 kr you get 1,000 kr in bonus. The requirement is then 1,000 × 25 = 25,000 kr in wagering. If you deposit 1,500 kr, which gives the maximum bonus, the requirement becomes 37,500 kr. The free spins are worth 100 × 1 kr = 100 kr in total, and anything you win on them is yours with no requirement.

You have 60 days. We have not found a stated maximum stake for the main offer or a list of how different games contribute to wagering, so read the promotion terms before you start.

Alternative welcome offers

Mr Green has several variants for new players. You can only choose one of them, since Swedish law only allows a bonus on the first occasion you play.

OfferMinimum depositWagering
100% up to 1,500 kr + 100 free spins at 1 kr (Book of Dead)100 kr25 times the deposit; spin winnings with no requirement
100% up to 500 krSee the terms10 times the bonus, max stake 100 kr per round
50 free spins at 5 kr (Book of Dead)500 kr1 time; spin winnings with no requirement
25 free spins at 4 kr (Sweet Bonanza)100 krSpin winnings with no requirement

The smallest offer, 25 free spins on Sweet Bonanza, is worth 100 kr. The package of 50 spins at 5 kr on Book of Dead is worth 250 kr but requires a deposit of 500 kr. The 500 kr bonus has a clearly stated maximum stake of 100 kr per round and is valid up to and including 31 December 2026. There is also a sports offer for anyone who would rather bet on sport. We compare more offers of the same type among our free spins at Swedish casinos.

Offer checked 15 October 2026. 18+. Terms and conditions apply.

Which offer should you choose?

If you want to keep things simple, one of the free spins packages is the easiest to follow: you know exactly what you get and the winnings are yours. The main offer gives the most value on paper but requires you to stake 25 times your deposit within 60 days. Work out what that means for your own budget before choosing – a bonus is only worth something if the terms match how much you actually want to play.

Games at Mr Green

Here our information is thinner than for other casinos, because the casino page could not be read when we gathered the facts. We can confirm that Book of Dead and Sweet Bonanza are available, since both are part of the welcome offers. However, we cannot state the number of games or give a full list of providers.

Book of Dead from Play’n GO came out in 2016 and has an Egyptian theme featuring the explorer Rich Wilde. The game has up to 10 paylines and a bonus round where a randomly chosen symbol can expand across the whole reel. Sweet Bonanza from Pragmatic Play is a completely different game: wins are paid when at least eight matching symbols land anywhere on the screen, and winning symbols are replaced by new ones dropping down.

Book of Dead exists in several RTP versions, with the standard version at 96.21%. Operators can choose a lower version, so open the game’s info screen and see which one applies at Mr Green before you use your free spins.

Book of Dead has high volatility and a maximum win of 5,000 times the stake. That means wins arrive unevenly: many spins pay little or nothing, and a few account for the larger payouts. If you are curious how the games behave, you can play for free in demo mode at the game provider before depositing. If you are looking for a particular game, the easiest thing is to search the lobby before you register – looking costs nothing.

Live casino

The fact that the main bonus can be used in the live casino shows that Mr Green has live tables, but we have not been able to confirm which studios supply them. We will update this section when we have firmer information.

If you want to play live with a bonus, first check how much of your stakes count towards wagering. At many casinos live games contribute a lower share than slots, and then it takes longer to meet the requirement. It is also worth remembering that the house edge remains in every table game, whatever your strategy.

Deposits and withdrawals at Mr Green

On its home page Mr Green highlights Trustly for fast bank transfers and says that deposits and withdrawals are made with BankID. We could not reach a full list of payment methods. Compare with other casinos where you log in with BankID if it matters to you that everything goes through electronic ID.

With Trustly you choose your bank, approve the payment in your bank’s app and the money is transferred directly from your bank account. According to its own terms Trustly charges you no fee, but your bank or the casino may have their own rules.

Withdrawal times are not stated in the material we have been able to read, and we have not found a minimum withdrawal amount. For Mr Green withdrawals our advice is therefore to read the payment terms in your account before depositing. We will add our own withdrawal and customer service tests to the review.

Since 1 May 2026 Swedish operators may not accept deposits by credit card. What remains for card payments are debit cards drawing directly on your own account.

Mr Green on mobile

Mr Green has poker apps in both the Swedish App Store and on Google Play, but we have not been able to confirm a separate casino app for Sweden. We have not been able to examine in detail how the casino works in a mobile browser.

If you play a lot on your phone, it is sensible to save the casino as a bookmark rather than searching for it each time. That reduces the risk of ending up on a copycat or an unlicensed site.

Customer service

According to Mr Green, customer service is available in Swedish via chat, phone and email. Opening hours and phone numbers are not given on the home page, so you will need to look them up in the casino’s help section.

The fact that support is explicitly offered in Swedish is a plus, especially when your question concerns bonus terms or verification, where small wording details can matter a lot.

Responsible gambling tools

Responsible gambling is Mr Green’s strongest area. Under the name Green Gaming the casino brings together tools that give insight into your gambling habits and behaviour over time. You can set limits on deposits, losses and playing time, take a break or exclude yourself completely. The casino also links to Spelpaus.se and Stödlinjen.

On top of that, the basic legal requirements apply: you must set a deposit limit before you play, a reduction takes effect immediately while an increase is delayed by at least 72 hours, and you can always exclude yourself for 24 hours with immediate effect.

At Spelpaus.se, the national self-exclusion register, you can exclude yourself from all Swedish licensed operators at once, from 10 days up to indefinitely. Stödlinjen, the national gambling helpline, can be reached on 020-81 91 00 and via chat at stodlinjen.se.

Responsible gambling and bonus terms lift the score, while the game selection and payments are held back because we lack verified information. The licence score reflects that the licence is active but the licence number could not be confirmed and the ownership question is open. Read more about how we rate casinos.

Mr Green is a reasonable choice if you value clear bonus terms and good tools for keeping track of your gambling. We will update the review once the change of ownership is complete.
