Licence and supervision – is Casumo legitimate?

Yes, Casumo holds an active Swedish licence from Spelinspektionen, and the licence runs until November 2028. This means that Swedish rules on deposit limits, bonuses and identification apply in full. Winnings from a casino with a Swedish licence are also tax-free for you as a player.

The licence is held by Oddit Limited, a company registered in Malta, while the Casumo brand is, according to the industry press, owned by the privately held Casumo Holding PLC. How the two companies are connected is not clear from the sources we have reviewed, but for you as a player it is the licence holder that is accountable to Spelinspektionen.

The licence is not entirely without remarks. In May 2026 Oddit Limited received a warning and a penalty fee of 1.2 million kronor because the company had reported ten changes among its key personnel too late. The licence was not revoked. The decision concerned notifications to the authority, but it is still worth knowing when you assess how seriously the company handles its obligations.

You can check the licence yourself in Spelinspektionen’s licence register, where all companies with a valid licence are listed together with their websites.

The welcome offer and its terms

As a new player you are offered a 100% bonus up to 500 kr plus 40 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza, worth 1 kr per spin. The minimum deposit to get the offer is 100 kr, and it applies only to new players, with one bonus per household or IP address. Offer checked on 15 October 2026. Terms and conditions apply.

The most important thing to understand is that the requirement is calculated on the sum of the deposit and the bonus. If you deposit 500 kr and receive 500 kr in bonus, the base is 1,000 kr, and 20 times that means 20,000 kr to be wagered within 60 days. With stakes of 10 kr per spin, that equals 2,000 game rounds. A 20x requirement sounds low, but because the deposit is included it is in practice as heavy as 40x on the bonus alone.

Free spins and maximum stake

The free spins part has its own, lower requirement. The 40 spins are worth 40 kr in total, and whatever you win on them must be wagered 10 times. If, for example, you win 60 kr on the spins, you need to play for 600 kr before the winnings can be withdrawn. The amount is only a worked example – the outcome of free spins varies greatly from one time to the next.

The maximum stake of 50 kr per game round applies for as long as the bonus is active. It is a relatively generous limit, but read in the terms what happens if you accidentally stake more. A common mistake is raising the stake in a live or table game without remembering that the bonus rules still apply.

Does the offer suit you?

The offer suits you best if you were planning to play slots over a longer period anyway and want more playing time for your money. If you would rather be able to withdraw a win straight away, you may be better off playing without a bonus, as your money is then not tied up by any wagering requirement.

We could not find out from the terms how much different games contribute to the wagering. So read the game contributions at the casino before choosing games, especially if you plan to play table games or live casino with the bonus. Also remember that Swedish operators may only give a bonus on the first occasion you play, under Chapter 14, Section 9 of Spellagen (the Gambling Act). So you cannot expect recurring deposit bonuses or loyalty bonuses later. If you decline now, you will not normally get the offer again, so consider whether the terms suit the way you play before you accept.

Casumo’s game selection

The game selection is Casumo’s strongest side. The casino lists a wide range of providers: big names such as NetEnt, Play’n GO, Pragmatic Play, Playtech and Microgaming, but also smaller and more niche studios such as ELK Studios, Thunderkick, Nolimit City, Hacksaw Gaming, Push Gaming and Big Time Gaming. On top of that there are Relax Gaming, Quickspin, Yggdrasil, Red Tiger, Blueprint Gaming and Greentube.

Classics such as Book of Dead and Starburst are available according to the casino’s website. Exactly how many games are offered is harder to say, as the website gives different figures in different places. We therefore do not quote a figure, but the breadth of the provider list says more than a number anyway.

For slots players, the mix means there are games of very different character, from calm low-volatility slots such as Starburst to considerably swingier titles. Always check a game’s return to player (RTP) in the game’s information panel, as the same game can exist in several versions with different RTPs at different casinos.

Live casino

According to Casumo, the live casino is supplied by Evolution, the studio behind Lightning Roulette and the game show Crazy Time, among others. You can see exactly which tables and shows are open at Casumo in the lobby.

When several casinos use the same live studio, the differences often lie elsewhere, such as betting limits, bonus rules and how easy it is to find the right table. Casumo does not mention any live studios other than Evolution, so if you are looking for a broader choice of live providers you may need to look elsewhere.

Bear in mind that live casino often contributes less, or not at all, to a bonus wagering requirement. As Casumo does not clearly state the game contributions, it is wise to play live casino with your own money and read the terms before using bonus money at the tables.

Casumo withdrawals and deposits

According to the casino’s website, you can deposit with Trustly, Swish and Visa or Mastercard. Withdrawals are made to Trustly, Swish or card. Since 1 May 2026 Casumo no longer accepts credit cards, in line with the stricter credit ban in Spellagen, so card payments are limited to debit cards.

The minimum deposit is 20 kr according to the casino, but note that the welcome offer requires at least 100 kr. You log in and identify yourself with BankID. You will find more casinos where login works the same way in our list of casinos with BankID.

When it comes to withdrawal times, Casumo gives different answers in different places on its website. We therefore do not state a time limit here, and instead recommend that you read the current payment information at the casino before making your first withdrawal. No minimum withdrawal amount is clearly stated either.

Before you can play, you must also set a deposit limit per day, week and month. This is a requirement of Spellagen and applies at all Swedish operators. If you choose a limit above 10,000 kr a month, the casino must contact you under the Gambling Ordinance (spelförordningen).

A general tip: use the same method for withdrawals as for deposits where you can. That makes it easier to keep track of your money, and you can see straight away in the payment terms whether the casino has special rules for the method.

Casumo on mobile

Casumo has its own app for both iPhone and Android, downloaded from the App Store and Google Play respectively. According to the casino, the app includes slots, live casino, payments and promotions.

Casumo’s customer support is open between 08:00 and 00:00 Swedish time and can be reached by email at hey@casumo.com. Whether live chat or phone support is also available, and whether support answers in Swedish, is not clear from the pages we have reviewed.

When you email, it is wise to state straight away what the matter concerns, when it happened and which payment method you used. If it concerns a withdrawal, you can also attach a screenshot of the transaction. That saves unnecessary back and forth.

The opening hours mean you cannot count on help in the middle of the night. For most questions, such as verification or a delayed withdrawal, the opening hours are more than enough. We will add our own withdrawal and customer support tests to this review.

Responsible gambling tools

This is where Casumo stands out in a positive way. In addition to the limits that all Swedish operators must offer, the casino gathers its work under the Play Okay programme. According to the casino, the tools include:

• deposit limits
• loss limits and session time limits
• reminders of how long you have been playing
• the option to take a break or a time-out
• self-exclusion via Spelpaus as well as links to Stödlinjen and Spelberoendes Riksförbund (a national support association)

Under the Gambling Ordinance, a lowered deposit limit takes effect immediately, while an increase applies after 72 hours at the earliest.
